2013.03.17出現強烈北極光(每秒745公里). 一如預測, 一個日冕物質拋射(CME)在世界時間3/17 06:00(台灣時間14:00) 打擊地球磁場. 這個碰擊非常強烈提升太陽風從每秒300公里到超過 每秒600公里. 高緯度國家的天空觀測者將會有北極光警報.


STRONG CME IMPACT: As predicted, a coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth's magnetic field at 0600 UT on March 17th. The impact was strong, lifting the solar wind speed from 300 km/s to greater than 600 km/s. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras.
